Consumers of legal services are confronting a dizzying array of options. Legalmosaic works with them to identify ways to drive cost savings, efficiency, and predictability from existing providers (both in-house and outsourced) as well as to explore, evaluate, and pursue alternatives. Of course, reduction of legal spend should not come at the cost of risk mitigation, and this element is integral to the review calculus.
Some common challenges that Legalmosaic explores with consumers are: evaluation of in-house as well as outsourced supply chain (tighter integration and concomitant cost-reduction, efficiency, and risk mitigation), identification and examination of alternative providers, assessment of IT resource deployment, development of meaningful metrics/scorecards, and identification of global sources where applicable.
Long-term project with GC, CLO, and senior members of major in-house legal department to streamline and integrate outside legal supply chain as well as to better integrate it with in-house team. Work included audit of existing players as well as working with IT Department and outside consultant to utilize platform that would facilitate more efficient integration between and among outsourced and internal resources. Result: a seven-figure reduction in legal spend.
